Thanks for the review.
Can you put a fast flight string on this bow?
Love your bows by the way! Love my swift and model B!!!
I love and mean absolutely love the Rio bravo that great plains puts out. Saving for another reflex deflex long bow
Why are all your bows out of stock?
I’ve seen the black hunter come in different colors but it seems like people only get the mandarin duck. Are the ones in different colors knock off versions?
hey, i was originally going for the black hunter but after watching your video i'm considering the swift.. could you perhaps provide me with a link to a website to buy it or its full name?
Do you really not understand? Slave labor probably plays a part.
I once bought a Samick Sage out of curiosity. It was blocky, ugly, the riser was poorly built and split out on me around the quiver bracket, and the bottom limb was twisted which I tried to fix but it would not stay. I screwed around getting replacement bows but the next 2 had their own problems. I could not get one without a twisted limb. I finally got one I could shoot and it was in decent shape so I set it up and gave it to my niece and her husband. I told everyone who would listen not to buy them. I bought a 30 pound Black Hunter to use as a teaching bow for friends and it is what I call "rough" but it is a better bow than that junky Sage. I'll stay with my customs and high-end bows thanks.
Bought 2 and their nothing but crap. Riser is fine but limbs suck. Looks like a mindless monkey belted the limbs.
You’re awesome! Thank you for these great video’s
I have bows that I would not take into the woods, but this bow is an exception. I have never harvested a deer over 25yds so as long as this bow gives reasonable performance at that distance, who cares?
I owed 2 BH recurve and long. Should mention its ok 4the money. But, the riser is a low Weight cheap wood, no ability to absorb vibrations.the limbs are the same staff cheap made and too heavy mass to power relation
From my perspective, I can't think of one good thing about buying a bow like this. Not trying to berate people for buying these chinese wonders, just felt like weighing in. One of the major things trade with China has accomplished is it has hollowed out the American economy: the trade imbalance has been staggering and devastating. It's horrible for the environment and energy consumption as raw materials go back and forth a ridiculous amount of times. As to your question Shane: how can they do it for 75 bucks…I would bet the biggest sucker in world history, ths U.S. taxpayer, is probably subsidizing the whole operation…again, to the ultimate desolation of the American economy. Politicians in the past have made agriegious trade deals/treaties with China, mostly to garner backdoor funding to their campaigns and various other nefarious personal benefits to said politicians. Many perfectly good American businesses have gone under because of the new global system and it's unsustainable models. I could go on all day and night. If people really wanted to know, which most don't, they could know…they want a "deal"…fine, but there is always a cost. A bow like Shane builds, or hundreds of other great custom bow making businesses offer are superior in every way, but the most important things are always intangible because many people (we) prefer it that way.
the black hunter and all its copies, including the Mandarin Duck version, are all manufactured by 'LingYi JunXing' a Chinese bow manufacturer that makes 60-70{b28075b4f1cc879d437a9ae15a959dc02f98e9215f5678f1d9b5668411a3b453} of all the recurves and compounds in existence…
Just an fyi, the black hunter by junxing is also knocked off by other chinese streetside factories so you have to watch carefully what sellers you buy from for a real black hunter stick with junxing or the Obert branding for the real ones. 3 rivers, big Jims and lancaster sell the real ones as well and also carry a warranty whereas most amazon sellers and randon ebay sellers dont.
Man you just helped me figure out why I have to move over to the right to hit my target. It’s not center shot. I just watched your video on making the black hunter a center shot.
“Much quieter”
Has cat whiskers and the black hunter doesn’t
Can’t trust the video after that
When asking about the boastringer, I’m talking about the black post. In your video that you string your bows with quickly if you have any plans or instructions on that.
How did you make your static bow stringer ? My recurves are hard to string because of the recurve limb ends thanks
Very Impressed with your honesty. Anyone looking for a a custom bow, you'd be the bloke to buy from!
The black hunter longbow I have is cut one eighths before center… I had to build up my plate sight window for center shot.. My bow shoots like a dream and is even tiller . If I had to shoot only one bow I believe to be the black hunter. Accuracy for such a small riser is incredible . My string came with is a dynema d 97. Limbs are straight and string is centered. I must of picked up a good one. I've seen other black hunter bows with negative tiller also limbs were off in relation to string.. I have the most fun with my black hunter with backyard shooting and my deer hunting bow. The grip fits me very well!!!!!
