The design looks like it would rip vanes off. Looks like there is very little clearance imo. Also I own a few savage 24’s with a shotgun and centerfire over under chambering. Most aren’t regulated to each other. I would have a hard time believing there is only 1” difference in POA at 100 yards. I would have a hard time believing there is under about a 4” POA at 25 yards between the top and bottom arrows. Cool gimmick but imo I would sight in with the top and probably wouldn’t trust the bottom unless I knew exactly where it “didn’t” hit.
And then, my wife ran out lol
Holy crap!
I built a much more ugly and sketchy version of this when I was a teenager. I made mine out of a 2×4, a truck leaf spring and a steel cable. I shot bolts out of it at cans, bottles and whatever.
I could have been a millionaire. 😂
I’d rather have my cobra siege 300 with the seven shot mag!
I was debating on purchasing a crossbow. Just purchased the Twinstrike Tac 2. Thanks for the great review!
I am on my third set of limbs with my Excaliber Micro 340 and have shot it less then 100 times. Unfortunately I haven't had as good of an experience with Excalibur as you had.
Great, now I want one… would look good beside my Excalibur micro 380.
Whoaaaaa…. WANT
The crossbow user in me hyperventilates when I see him loading the lower bolt AFTER the upper bolt. Please dont do this folks. Regardless of how many safety mechanism this crossbow has, please do as Excalibur says and load lower bolt first. If the safety measures fail, the upper bolt will go right through your hand as if its nothing. Safety first guys.
Great video, great crossbow. As of right now (May '22) there is a cheaper version of the Twinstrike available: the TAC2. It has all the same features but is a little less powerfull (20fps less). Its not much and well worth it because it puts less stress on the limbs and is about $500 cheaper (depending on country and currency ofc).
Btw another great survival crossbow is the Steambow Onyx. Its powered by compressed air and even if you cant refill your air tank you can still use the bow like any other crossbow. Its a little less powerfull and still at the same price. But its something to keep in mind if you want to have a safe and reliable crossbow that is easy to use/load/cock.
Hey great video , im wondering whats the soundtrack of it ?
Makes it feel very cinematic 😁
Greetings from Germany
Just wanted to note that the Adder crossbow can have two limbs and achieve speeds up to 280fps .
I love my Excalibur Crossbow. You have to give the Canadians one Thing, they really know how to make good Crossbows.
Shut up and take my money
I own one, but didn’t see this video until after I bought mine. Has some very good points Ruth this bow as far a prepper weapon
A crossbow does not have more kinetic energy than a compound. In my humble opinion. I own both crossbow and compound and love both.
Cant find the hoodie to buy anywhere…
2:53 Bows generally work better when strung correctly.
I strongly advise using heavier bolts than the stock bolts they are too under weight for the power of the modern Excalibur’s. I recommend two times the draw weight minimum for your bolts.
Awesome video though. Archery is the best thing to use for a SHTF scenario. Even a silenced gun isn’t as good as archery equipment unless you have endless supplies of powder brass and lead lol. Oh and primers and a tool to put it all together.
Ok….this is the one and only crossbow I want to buy right now.
