I've got a similar one, and have the similar issue of the leather wearing through from the arrow. I had a similar 40lb one previously that had a small rayskin strip as a strikeplate, which was brilliant. These are fun bows though, and fiberglass really shines when it's recurved.
An altered famous citation: I don't know which weapons will be used in ww3, but ww4 will be fought with ticks, stones, and fiberglass bows. 😬😅
I have a similar bow to this one (mine is in 40lb @ 28"), shot thousands of arrows, in all sorts of weather conditions. Snow, Rain, Heat and strong winds. it has held up fantastically. if there is such a thing as the kalashnikov of bows, it is the Fiberglass Horse bow.
I am also left handed ,I place the arrow on the right side of the bow.
I'm really psyched for you!! Love the horse bows, (never shot one) & I agree fiberglass just makes a bow so nice
