I just bought one from Walmart on line for $324.00 with a string type cocking devise the same package. My buddy has one he loves it and that's pretty much why I bought one. I haven't got mine yet but I can't wait. I've not seen anything bad about this bow everyone that has one loves it.
Hello, I have a raptor fx as well but I have a small problem with mine. The paint near the picitani rail looks like its just been rushed and not painted all the way. There are blank white spots where the little cut outs are. It doesn't affect performance, but it's very irritating. Is this common? Thanks.
This looks like a muscle version of the Recruit Compound. Same body style yet more power. I to have heard About strings breaking after the 3rd or 4th shot but I am wondering if its the 3rd of 4th shot of that day after 100 shots? Most of the bad reviewers don't say this. Barnett has an awesome CS. I deal with Wendy Barlow and she is on top of her game when there is a problem. I have the Recruit compound. 300fps and like this bow my Recruit is burying bolts at 50yds. I am giving my Recruit to my 12 yr old daughter who shoots it better than I do, getting this for my 15 yr old son and getting the Barnett Ghost 385 or BCX for myself… Great review…
Hi nice video of the crossbow barnett raptor fx and you said that it cost lees than 400 in 2014 and you will not say were you got it but here in south Texas zipcode 78501 in academy as of special 9 13-19, 2015 they got it at 399.99 is that your deal of less than 400 if you see this thelme were to buy it to buy one
First off nice video! I bought this crossbow for my son because of the price and name. So glad I didn't waste $1000 for another kind. I got the full RTH package with everything for $350 out the door. This bow will sink bolts to the feathers at 50 yards and will hold 3'' groups at 50 yards and will Robinhood arrows at 20 yards. Has more then enough power to take any whitetail deer. It is a VERY flat shooting crossbow. First crosshair 20&30 yds,2nd is 40&50 and so on. Now lets talk kenitic enegry. When I first got it I sighted it in dead on at 20 yards. Steped back to 30 yds and figured the 2nd crosshair would be 30 yrds. Wrong I overshot the Block classic target and hit my deck. The bolt hit a new solid 2×8 and went all the way threw it. I was very impressed. This is one of the best crossbows for the price money can buy. You can go and buy the plus $1000 crossbows if you want to waste your money, But This $300 cross bow will perform just as good. And one other thing they say 330fps it shoots around 342 and 343fps thru the crono.
what quiver is that? is that the stock mount/quiver?
was wondering if you had any string issues with yours i have seen alot of people talking about there strings breaking. I just got one but only got to shoot it once and i broke the plastic bolt retention with my cocking rope think maybe i had the hooks wrong or something i had my hooks facing down and when i drawled it it popped on the rail and hit the plastic bolt retention deal. Are the hooks on the cocking rope supposed to face up?
Will you be able to pull this crossbow up by hand?
The man just talked about the bow but we did not see its performance. What can the bow do?
I just won this crossbow at a rabbit hunting tournament this last weekend and cant wait to start shooting it! My only question is, is it usually fairly accurate right as is right away? Like i could shoot at a normal size target and be able to hit at least some part of the target on the first shot or am i gonna need a larger backstop behind it? Thanks in advance!
I bought the raptor fx on cyber Monday, the package included the raptor, rope cocker, crank cocking device, sling, truglow 4×32(dunno why it was included but whatever) and Barnett 4×32. I paid $250 for the package and sold the truglow for $100. So all said and done I paid $150 for the package, considering selling the crack as I don't use it, if I do it'll be about $50. Then it'll only have cost me $100.. I love this crossbow especially what I got it for.
Hey I have a Barrett Raptor crossbow and I have to say its s really nice crossbow I got a nice Doe with it last year But the Bolts I use
Are the gold tips 2 there's a place in Indiana that sells them and all of my Bolts have the same spine they have a spine tester there and they fly like a Dart and I use the spitfire 100 grain you can't go wrong with this set up for the money you can't find a Better crossbow
Do you think this would be a good bow as a first crossbow? and are the arrows they come with any good?
I got one on lay way can't wait to get it out to shoot
ok, my wife is gona get me the raptor fx for Christmas, though it prob wont be here to after, ive read alot of reviews about busted strings, if i have that prob, I'll send it back for refund, and learn to shoot a compound. I'll let u know how it goes. Thanks for your time
299.99 cabelas plus I paid 89 for crank
Ive been wanting a crossbow, i think u sold me on the Raptor FX. would like to c a video of u shooting it, how hard is it to cock without the device? thanks for the review
The Raptor was great for me…..but….you can't fire it without an arrow in it ..unless you want to bust your strings
