Very thorough review. Thank you. I am wondering if the Bear customer service has improved since making this video?
Great review! Gave a thorough understanding of the difference in features, advantages/disadvantages and value of each bow type even thought Bear is the featured review. Thanks for the hard work and for sharing your knowledge.
All Hoyts are way overpriced
Bear customer service got back to me within 24 hours and all of their risers are cnc machined aluminum.
Hi Steve, let me start of by saying great review…. just for the record, the Bear Arena risers are made from a forged aluminium blank and then machined to spec. The limb stops being oval with an oval screw slot allow you to set a solid back wall and also adjust the size of the valley depending on how you position the limb stop for a custom feel.
Check out this review to see it fitted with one forward and one rear facing stabilizer..! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFgX46bchcE)
Can't wait for mine to come in…!
u don't seem to know much. And you really seem to just want to dislike it. No one else seems to have issues with valley (they use right draw length) people seem to love the knew arenas.
you need to get a hold of a separate person In the cs team the general email doesn't get many replies. I contact "JR Neidlinger" <JRNeidlinger@BearArchery.com> and he is very helpful.
WTF its a hoyt Carbon spyder
Lol he said mathews carbon spyder lol. Its a hoyt just pointing it out.
Steve, the Bear riser is machined from "6061 T6 high grade aircraft aluminum". Watch the "How Fred Bear Makes Compound Bows" video(under 5 minutes) on YT. Great reviews btw.
Steve, I just recently came across a couple of your reviews here on youtube. Your reviews are excellent.
You're providing a great service to archers all across the globe. I live in the southeastern US and belong to a bowhunting club
that has lots of members but I haven't seen anyone here that shoots a Bear, mostly Mathews, Hoyt and some Bowtech. But Bear's reputation for quality is rapidly coming up. I also think their reputation here for customer service is better. I've seen several positive reviews on this bow
Great review but just at the beginning in the introduction you said "Mathew Carbon
Spider" while pointing at Hoyt! I am a big fun of Bowtech now.
Thank you for this review Steve, As I'm novice and a new consumer too archery it took me some time to choose my Bow. I used forums and watch videos on hunting etc and I looked at the different bows and their features they offer. I must say a good selling point for me was the experience and customer server from Archery Supplies. The Lifetime support from PSE was a great selling factor in choosing my PSE-SP Bow. I did however was thinking about buying a BEAR but there really wasn't anyone in my area who had a really good range and everyone I spoke to stated the Bear support was pretty ordinary. Hence my wife and I came to Archer Supplies for all our archery needs. The professional support from Steve and the team are extremely friendly and helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else.. Keep the reviews coming would you do reviews on crossbow and recurve Bows in the future.
Thanks for the review yes the bear H15 cams which is what the arenas use give you the choice of using cable stops or limb stops. There should be 2limb stop in the bag in the box they are kinda oval looking. They go in the holes on outer edge of cam. And sorry to hear about your experience with bear hear in the US bears customer service is AMAZING probably best out there.
Check out Ike's Outdoors review, he provides some great insight on the bow
Good review very engaging happy new year Steve.
The option of different size cams should be mentioned for the Hoyt. That is a huge selling point as it offers great efficiency for any draw length. An example of this is if you have a smaller framed archer such as 26 inch draw length if you use a number 1 cam you will get 100{b28075b4f1cc879d437a9ae15a959dc02f98e9215f5678f1d9b5668411a3b453} of cam efficiency out of the Hoyt as compared to the PSE. The reason why Hoyt uses such parallel limbs is because it is arguably quieter and more stable.
The Arena actually can use Cable or Limb stops. Bear Flagship bows are a little slower this year because Bear wanted a smoother drawing bow. The riser is also fully machined.
