You absolutely got lucky with a very low percentage shot. I'm glad he is down but you need to pick better shots. You got lucky as quartering too is never advised for archery.
You must be living right!
Hi. I am trying to decide If should get into bow hunting? I am 13 and I just got a bow, i'm decently accurate with it but i'm nervous that when it comes down to shooting at the real animal i'm gonna blow it and injure it badly. I have only done rifle hunting before. So if you have any tips for my dilemma please share!
Tell me you hunt illinois without telling me you hunt illinois.
Matt Miller: Hold my beer.
Never would have happened in PA.
I wanna know where you got that stealth cam hoodie….I googled it and it's not there and I want one haha😉
Nice
I liked that V3X setup
Awesome job. Never seen anything like that on a mature buck. But I hunt the south. You can fart wrong and they haul butt and they just don't stop.
When it's your day it's your day.. 👍🏻
Man what a big body on that buck. That is one of my favorite rack types. Big wide 8
Ya know I am getting tired of seeing all of these low percentage quartering to shots. Worked out this time but not a good shot selection.
You were lucky he stopped, AND lucky you were able to draw after he spooked and stopped. One thing I learned is once you start to draw, finish your draw. Shooting that deer after it stopped would have been easier if you were already at full draw.
Amazing what you can get away with during the rut.
What county in IL..I lived in McClean Co when a teacher-coach
Awesome shot! Nice patience…u r lucky when he saw you draw he hardly ran that far b4 you nailed him. Go Matthew's v3?
awesome. what type of tip do you shoot? Thanks
Wow. Some luck!
crushing those 1/4'ring to shots! love it
I've watched numerous videos of deer taken in states like Iowa and other surrounding states.
I hunt on WMAs in Ga.
The woodland here looks like a overgrown briar patch with dense undergrowth and minimal visibility.
The deer here seldom walk or expose themselves in the timberland so open and pretty.
It's said here that when you find that pretty spot in the woods …… back off and setup in the thick on the outside of the beautiful oak bottom or transition to pine on the hill.
The deer here don't lollygag around licking their lips and rubbing and scraping bed down in front of your stand.
And surely don't stop and look back when spooked.
He will bust the woods down all the way to the next county The deer are huge in the Iowa state region
And a deer taken here of such majesty and dominance would give us something to be proud of and others to gawk at.
If one can shoot a $1200 Matthews bow accurately…the deer there are already walking dead. Never do deer behave like these do. They are wary.skittish.nocturnal.and will smell you even if they are upwind.
So I can't be impressed with the deer taken in these videos
If you come to my woods and manage to take a mature buck. ..you have bragging rights.
The deer there almost look like pets
Nice Buck🤜🤛
